HUSTLERS AVENGE SOMERSET DEFEAT IN BOTTOM OF TABLE CLASH

In a low scoring game Hustlers kept their noses ahead of Odds and Ends and avenged their earlier defeat at the Somerset.  Hustlers have now won 3 of their last 4 games, a run last achieved in late 2014.First leg got off to a shaky start but luckily Odds and Ends were even shakier.  Both Pete and Marty beat their opponents and Hustlers went into second leg 4 pins to the good.

Normally any pin advantage is dissipated by second leg but on this occasion Lewis, Andy and Jim-Bob managed the highest leg of the night, Lewis gaining 12 pins on his man and stretching our lead to the same amount.

Third leg had a shaky start but recovered slightly and, although Barry was an extra passenger in Lloyd’s car on the way home, Steve’s 9 pin advantage over his opponent ensured the leg ended as it had begun.

So with 12 pins to play with, last leg proceeded to make life difficult for Hustlers’ loyal supporters.  However, Rob’s 39 (the joint highest score of the evening) kept our heads above water and a deficit of just 2 pins on the leg sent the Hustlers home happy with a win of 10 pins.
