  • A short history of Stuart the Hustler

It is with great regret that we have to announce Stuart Attryde’s resignation from the Hustlers after 36 years in the team.  It is typical of Stuart that he has waited to do so at a time when we are well staffed with players. (more…)

  • Welcome to the Hustlers’ new website!

  • Hustlers reach for the top

Hustlers given a chance to test themselves in new positions thanks to the League

The League has convened its AGM and given the Hustlers the promotion they narrowly missed out on, but thoroughly deserved.

We will be up against Beehive Bitzas

    British Legion Extras
    Cannonballs
    Cannonballs Elite
    Chosen Champs
    Cowley C.C
    The Cream
    Diards
    Duke of York
    Flyers
    Sinners
    Tivoli Boys

Watch out for the new fixture list later this summer!
  • John Heasman

It is with great regret that we report the passing of John Heasman after a short illness.

John was around when the Hustlers were formed back in 1962/63 and returned for a second spell some years later, eventually retiring from the game around 1997/98.  Consistently high in the averages, he was one of the few players who actually wanted to play on first leg, which always endeared him to the various captains he played under.

John will be remembered for his thoughtfulness towards other people, and for his dry sense of humour.  He was always fun to be with.  However, he never wanted a fuss made of him and, on reflection, would be appalled at this eulogy.

  • Final Tables

The final league tables are now out and provisional promotions and relegations are available.

So, it looks like we’re saying goodbye to the Jets, St Marks and Batmen.

Down from Div 1, it’s currently looking like:

    Shadows – United Services (Monday)

    Saracens A – Saracens (Tuesday)

Smiths A – RBL, Bishops Cleeve (Monday)

Coming up from Div 3, we look set to face:

    Ullenwood CC – Suffolk (Tuesday)

Cowley CC – Charlton Club (Tuesday)

Pitville Outcasts – Gas Club (Tuesday)

  • Final League Table

With just 1 league game still to be played, the final positions are pretty much all settled.

Virtually final table is now available – just waiting on 1 more match to be played.  Hopefully we have the final table in time for our AGM at the Suffolk.

  • Table update

Latest league table has now been released.

With Gold Cup week now upon us, he latest League Tables have now been published.  Not many games left to go.  How far up will the Hustlers finish?

  • Old Golds in Bitza Pieces

Top team Beehive Bitzas beat Old Golds by 100 pins last week!  See updated league tables to Week 9 (ie not including this week) for details of Hustlers’ progress up the table.

  • Stats make for sad reading

Rob languishes at the bottom of the averages

With only Jim below him (and that only because he’s played just 2 games so far this season), Rob continues to chart new territory.  When will he start to turn this collapse un form around?
