Hoping to avoid a double defeat, Hustlers made their first visit if the season to Parklands for this rematch against Flyers.
First leg got us off to a flying start, with Neil getting our first 40, ably supported by Lloyd and Chris, giving us an early 11-pin lead. Second leg weren’t to fare so well, with Gary and Pete unable to compensate for bottom scorer TC. But all still to play for as we headed for the second half all square once more.
With Gary taking top prize in the raffle, surely we could turn it around again? The stars seemed to be shining as Dave chalked up his top score so far and Rich narrowly missing his 40 with our only spare of the night, but dropping a pin in the process. A good target, then, for the anchors to chase down. And it was neck and neck throughout, with Mart’s 40 looking to be a big boost, only to see the game just slip from our gasp as we dropped a further three pinsto lose by a mere 4.
We look to defend our 2015 unbeaten home record next week as we look to do the double over the Legion Extras.
