HUSTLERS WELL AND TRULY HOISTED!

The Albion Club proved too much for the Hustlers as an accurate alley combined with some decent balls and pins confounded most of our players.

First leg started well but the third hand of 10 lost 8 pins and Lofty in particular struggled with some gaps that visibly opened up as he bowled.  The result was a deficit of 14 pins for second leg to make up.

On second leg Dave, whose first three hands were 3, 1 and 3, was pleased to end with 27 while Chris did exceptionally well to end on 43 with a 5 and 4 in his total.  Unfortunately the leg shipped a further 12 pins.

With 26 pins to make up, third leg rose to the occasion with Swayner reaching 40 and Gary and Stu not far behind resulting in our highest leg.  However this coincided with Telehoist’s best leg and the result was a further 8 pin deficit.

With not much to play for, last leg began well and Steve managed a very creditable 44, helping Hustlers to tie the last leg but leaving that 34 pin deficit untouched by human hand.

Next week is free for matches by teams still in the Cup (of which we are not one).
