Bugger, Bugger, Bugger !

Hustlers found out last night why the Three Bees are so named, managing to lose pins on every leg when the two teams clashed at the all-too familiar venue of the Civil Service Clubhouse.

First leg was bolstered by Rob and Captain Neil, both of whom did the business with 40s and between them gained 4 on their opponents.  John, however, faded after a good start and first leg ended three pins down.

A late change of plan saw Andy come on as substitute in the second leg but all three players shipped pins, a further 13 of which were added to the deficit.

Third leg was highlighted by Rich who scored a faultless 44.  However, he only gained one pin on his opponent and, despite reasonable scores by the other two, Hustlers went into the fourth leg an additional 5 pins down.

With 21 pins to make up, fourth leg stuttered.  Anchor man Clive started badly and recovered his form too late, and too many lowish scores were scattered around for this to be a winning leg.  In the end only Gary pulled pins on his man and a further 8 pin deficit sent the Hustlers to a crashing 29 pin defeat.
