Hustlers marked Chosen Champs’ visit to the London Inn with a winning performance in which they managed not to lose a leg.
The first three Hustlers locked horns with an indifferent Champs trio and at the end of the first leg all three had beaten their opponents, giving Hustlers a lead of 11 pins.
Second leg continued the good work, Lloyd making all the difference with a useful backstop of 45 (and 13 pins on his opponent). As a result Hustlers went in at the midway point with an advantage of 23 pins.
Third leg was led by Gary with an able 40 and this enabled Hustlers to move a further 7 pins ahead to lead by 30.
Last leg began as though they wanted to make a close game of it but soon recovered and, with both Ant and Neilson scoring in the 40s, they managed to hold off Champs’ challenge and win the game by 30 pins.
