Hustlers missed out on the chance to beat a lower table side at the United Services Club when they fell second best to Saracens A.
First leg got off to a good start with both Lewis and John scoring in the 40s. Alas, however, only Lewis beat his man so the lead was kept down to a couple of pins.
Second leg was led by an impressive performance by Pete who managed a very consistent 44 but still lost a pin to his opponent (who admittedly did have a spare). Both Lloyd and Malc struggled on the alley though and a 16 pin shortfall meant the Hustlers were now chasing the game.
Third leg fared no better; although Andy notably beat his opponent, the leg shipped a further 7 pins and last leg were faced with a daunting 21 pins to overcome.
Highlight of last leg was Rob with a good 13 spare the centrepiece of his top-scoring 48. Gary and Neil disappointed however, and only 3 pins were knocked off the deficit, Hustlers going down by 18 pins.
